Trauma therapy in Seattle and throughout Washington & Oregon
Move Beyond Coping
You’ve checked all the boxes to keep moving forward:
Found success in career, school, family
Read all the books, listened to all the podcasts
Tried journaling, meditation, maybe even therapy
You're outwardly functioning, but inside, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected...stuck in old patterns or relationship dynamics. You might not even be able to articulate the problem, but you know things aren't quite right. Somehow you feel like you're both too much and not enough, and try as you might to set boundaries, you constantly feel selfish and guilty for doing so.
But you are also thoughtful and motivated—resilient, but tired of having to be. You've been navigating the impact of a difficult childhood or bullying, religious harm, relationship pain, or traumatic immigration experience, and while you're not 100% sure of who you are underneath all the efforts to be "okay" and get along with others, you do know that your true self is there, just beyond reach.
Maybe you consider what you've gone though "trauma," or maybe not, but you want more than coping exercises and surface-level solutions.
It's time to begin your journey to self-compassion, inner-harmony, and freedom—your journey to YOU.

Meet Katie Allen, LICSW/LCSW, SUDPT
Seattle trauma therapist for adults and teens
Hi! I'm Katie. I work with adults and teens who are feeling stuck in negative self-talk and unwanted relationship patterns to rewire harmful beliefs about themselves so they can have more self-confidence and fulfilling relationships. I also perform mental health evaluations for immigration cases.
I provide therapy in English and Spanish online across Washington State and Oregon and in person walk-and-talk therapy in the greater Seattle area
You're busy—we get it. Therapy should be accessible when and where you need it. Take your next step toward healing and growth with confidential, HIPAA-compliant video sessions or outdoors in nature in walk-and-talk sessions.
Life can be overwhelming—especially when a traumatic event or ongoing traumatic stress is part of the equation. Fear, negative self talk, feeling like you're always faking it...together, we'll work to find safety in your own body and mind.
Restlessness that never quite leaves, a mind that won’t stop spinning...anxiety has a way of stealing our focus, energy, and peace. In therapy, we'll find ways to understand its patterns and loosen its grip and create calm and confidence.
From difficult life transitions and emotional struggles to conditions like anxiety, depression, or trauma, many young people find support and healing through talking to someone who is not a parent, teacher, or peer to build resilience and move forward with confidence.

Have an idea of what you want to work on and want to do it on a faster timeline than weekly sessions? Intensives are a full day or more of concentrated therapy to get you feeling like yourself again quickly. Can be combined with individual therapy with me or your established therapist.

Psychological evaluations for immigration cases, including Asylum, VAWA, Cancelation of Removal, Hardship Waiver, and T & U Visas. Assessments conducted in Spanish or English. Additional languages available with interpreter service. Expedited reports available.

Wondering if we're a good fit?
Let’s connect for a free 20-minute phone consultation. You’ll have a chance to share what you're looking for, and I’ll explain more about how I work.
This isn’t a therapy session—it’s a space to get a feel for whether working together feels right. If it turns out I’m not the best fit, I’ll gladly help you explore other options that might better support your needs.
